Carnivale 2009

So as I mentioned, I've had a bunch of stuff going on lately that has resulted in me sucking at keeping my blog updated frequently. Namely, that has been because for the past three weeks I have been living as a gimp, with a broken elbow. I am getting so frustrated!! But let me start from the beginning.

Every year, my friends and I take part in a wonderfully fun winter event that we like to call "Carnivale". Basically, it is a night of tobogganing, with a party at the bottom of the hill. There is a big road that is closed off during the winter months nearby due to the amount of snow it accumulates, and the slope of the hill (it's very steep). At the bottom of the hill are giant event tents with music, speakers, hot food and cider, lawn chairs, and a giant bonfire. There is even a man-made portapotty for us girls. There are tons of toboggons and GT's to use to toboggon down the hill (which is lit up with tiki torches, might I add). It is one of the most fun nights of the year, and free (can you tell I am from a small town where we have nothing better to do)?
That outlines Carnivale. I will leave the story about my elbow for my next post. But here I will add some pics of the event from this year (before my injury) and from last year as well.
